Annual King of the Mountain Challenge Series
1st Annual Challenge Series Competition to recognise the healthiest and fittest Australians across a variety of Recreational Exercise Activities in each state capital

Individual Time Trials up King of the Mountain Climbs

Prepared by the Event Organiser, Phil Johnston - Muggaccinos Cycle Group, with input from the Event Team

Government pro-actively assisting by end 2012 over 100,000 circa Australian Interested Adults implement Preventive Health to, in many cases, Materially Alter Lifestyle

Utilise talents of experienced Sports Event Organisers to provide, via the Internet, easy to participate, enjoyable Challenging  Annual Challenge Series Competitions for selected RREAs for Interested Adults between 18 and early '70s amongst the AbledDisabled and Disadvantaged

This 1st Submission for an Annual Challenge Series Competition involves Individual Time Trials up hill in the RREA of Recreational Road Cycling.  It will achieve Collective Action by 500 circa elite Qualifiers in each Australian state capita, plus Canberra, which culminates months of physical training in 'Semi Finals' and 'Finals' to determine the healthiest, fittest Qualifiers across 11 Age Divisions and 5 Disabled Categories from 18 to early 70s, with 5,000 circa other Interested Adults in each Australian state capital, plus Canberra, logging a KOM Climb Time in the 12 months leading up to the event:

(A)        Inaugural Annual King of the Mountain Challenge Series in Sydney from 17 April 2011 to 29 May 2011 with 520 elite adults, Abled, Disabled and Disadvantaged, who enjoy regular, rigorous, Challenging competitive exercise within a LCCBSG in the great outdoors

(B)        Rollout to each Australian State and ACT by end 2012, including 5 Disabled Categories across both sexes, involving 2,440 qualifying Qualifiers in 2012, with 200,000 circa Interested Adults cycling Individual Time Trials up King of the Mountain Climbs on the outskirts of Australia's 7 major capital cities to see their KOM Climb Time automatically appear on KOMpm.com through automated transponders set up at KOM Start and KOM Apex of selected KOM Climbs by a Climber ID Microchip

(C)        Opportunity for Australia to rollout the Annual King of the Mountain Challenge Series, via the internet, to 50 large cities throughout USA, Europe and Asia by end-2015 with 25,000 Qualifiers globally 

(D)        Employ Australia's reputation as 'Sports Crazy' to create successful outdoor events which Materially Alters Lifestyle which evidence Governments providing a blueprint to for a Local Community Healthy Lifestyle which leaves a low Personal Carbon Footprint being adopted globally

Collective Action to show Australians that an outdoor REA Is Fun & Addictive and more satisfying than pursuing Economic Materialism which has contributed substantially to Climate Change  -  USA with 5% of the 6.4b global population produces 26% circa of global GHGs

Four Types of Environment & Health KOM Challenge Series Bicycle Jerseys could display inter alia -
*           "Rigorous out door exercise can be lots of fun"
and

*           "Our ecosystem is our playground, lets look after it
"

4 episodes of Reality Television in an RTV Series presenting the Inaugural Sydney KOM Challenge Series as an Ecologically Sustainable Development promoting determined, successful people from all walks of life who live a Local Community Healthy Lifestyle:

*            Compares Type-A High Achievers (CEOs, CFOs. Heads of Govt. departments and agencies etc) seeking a local, healthy, competitive stress-release, with folk who have rehabilitated from hard drugs/prison etc - the two ends of the socio-economic spectrum each falling back on the skills to push the envelope and extend their horizons that they acquired during Youthful Exuberance; and

*            Discover another elite world class Australian Disabled athlete and profile other severely Disabled who display vast courage to lead successful careers and compete in the Disabled Category Finals Day.

RTV Production Fee for 4 RTV Series episodes, plus $75 KOM Qualifiers Semi Finalist Entry Fee from 420 Abled Qualifiers in Inaugural Annual KOM Challenge Series in NSW, paid to Wheelchair Sports Association NSW to purchase Tandems and Specialty Bicycles for the Disabled to exercise in the rural outdoors thereby enhancing their Lifestyle Behaviour.
