Event Organiser and Event Team

Phil Johnston, the Business Plan Developer, is the Event Organiser responsible for successful performance of the Annual KOM Challenge Series.

Section 7(a) shows that the Event Team comprises four highly accomplished road cyclists with project management, cycle race management, I.T. and cycle endurance experience, as well as a Enrolled Nurse experienced in assisting the Disabled into cycling.

In addition to the wealth of cycling knowledge and contacts -

(a)             a permanent staff member of Cycling NSW, Brian Crawford, has ridden with Muggaccinos on a dozen +100km rides and is one of www.KOMpm.com 's strongest advocates having registered >100 of the fastest KOM Climb Times.  

(b)            Advocacy Officer for Bicycle NSW, Kate Marley, has cycled with Muggaccinos.  The Event Organiser has a good rapport with Kate, and the CEO of Bicycle NSW, Alex Unwin. 

(c)             Muggaccinos is an accredited Bicycle User Group within Bicycle NSW. 

(d)            Phil Johnston has ridden as Pilot on a tandem with Lindy Hou, who rides in the Australian Disabled Paralympics Team. 

(e)             Former Muggaccinos cyclist, Gareth Price, who has completed the Australian IronMan Triathlon at Forster, and competing again this April at Port Macquarie, and now lives in the South East Qld Gold Coast Hinterland as an Engineering Consultant.  Gareth will support the Event Team for the Queensland KOM Series to be held over two x 8km Climbs in the Gold Coast Hinterland in June 2011.

(f)              Mark Keillor, who is a regular Sunday cyclist along Beach Road Melbourne and The Dandenongs, will support the Event Team for the Victoria KOM Series to be held over two x 7½km Climbs in The Dandenongs Vic. in Oct/Nov 2011, with the Sydney KOM Challenge Series switching to Aug/Sept 2011.
