Individual Time Trials means for the the Inaugural Annual KOM Challenge Series Climbers cycling, in not less than one minute intervals, from a standing start from the Climb Start to the KOM Apex of a KOM Climb. Participating in an Individual Time Trials up a 3km to 8km KOM Climb is a low risk, rigorous, REA due to - (a) the low speed involved, and (b) cyclists are not racing in open competition, but commencing individually at 1 minute intervals.
(i) a cyclist being hit by a passing motor car because he didn't get sufficiently get off the roadway whilst waiting for his Individual Time Trial; and (ii) suffering cardiac arrest, stroke etc particularly for older KOM Climbers. Section 19 titled Legislation requiring the organiser of a "recreational activity" to warn of "obvious risk(s)" associated with that "recreational activity" explains how these risks can be easily mitigated to the mutual benefit of all parties by the organiser providing a Risk Warning which enables Interested Adults who may want to become a KOM Climber to understand the risks.
