Rigorous Recreational Exercise Activity
or RREA
means, for the
21½ Months Tenure Of Pilot, the following
9 Rigorous Recreational Exercise
Activities from amongst
an existing
array of
+900 LDREGs
(for
NSW), which
enable prolonged increases in heart rate
and breathing and involve
Organisers and
Participants that incorporate a
LCCBSG
to varying extents:
Recreational Road
Cycling, Road And Track Cycle Racing, Mountain Biking, Triathlon,
Bushwalking/Hiking, Surf Kayaking &
Canoeing, Lap Swimming, Ocean Swimming
and Jogging/Road Running/Cross Country Running.
A
RREA generally requires sustained, rhythmic movements and refers
to a level of effort equivalent to:
-
a ‘perceived
exertion’ of 15 or greater on the Borg scale;
-
greater than six
metabolic equivalents (METs);
-
any activity that
burns more than seven kcal/ min; or
-
intense enough to
represent a substantial challenge to an individual and results in a
significant increase in heart and breathing rate.
Post
Pilot, the number and variety of
RREAs could readily be increased by
embellishing the
YELP Website
and providing additional
RECs
that are specialists in each additional
RREA.

Countless studies, incl,

and
"Fit, fanatical
and over 40"
recognise the benefits of regular, rigorous
exercise. |
