KOM Information Memorandum KOM Defined Terms KOM Challenge Series Calendar and Event Costs to 2012 KOM Summary Bullet Points KOM SWOT Analysis Section 2 Format of Inaugural Annual King of the Mountain Challenge Series The Inaugural Annual KOM Challenge Series would attract 520 Qualifiers aged between 18 and >70 years comprising - * Top 20 Climbers in each Age Division, both male and female, pedal up 3 KOM Climbs on Sydney's Northside = 420 Climbers; and * Top 10 Disabled Climbers across 5 Divisions over 2 sexes pedal up 2 KOM Climbs on Sydney's Northside held on 1 Saturday immediately before the Finals weekend = 100 Disabled Climbers.
In Sydney with 8 days of time-trials, over 6 concurrent weekends from Sunday 15 April 2011 to Sunday 29 May 2011:
* 5 Sundays of Semi-Finals = 5 days;
* 1 Saturday of Finals for Disabled
* 1 Saturday & Sunday for the Finals = 2 days.
The fastest 5 in each of the 11 male Age Divisions and 10 female Age Divisions will advance to one of the 2 days in the Finals weekend. The majority of Climbers will be over 40 years old. On the Saturday of the Finals for the Disabled, the State and Federal Minister for Health could present to each of 10 KOM Disabled Category Winners of the 10 Disabled Categories (5 male & 5 female) a coveted - (I) King of the Mountain polka dot Age Division Winner Jersey; and (II) King of the Mountain Winner Medallion. On the Saturday and Sunday afternoons of the Finals weekend the State and Federal Ministers for 'Environment & Climate Change' and Health & Ageing could present to each of 21 Age Division Winners in the 11 Age Divisions (ie 18 to < 25, 25 to < 30, thru to >65 Female and >70 Male) across both sexes (11 male and 10 female Age Divisions) the above two revered King of the Mountain Winner Trophies. An Inaugural Annual KOM Challenge Series will provide a material incentive for - (I) all Age Divisions, but particularly those +40 who hanker for safe, healthy, competitive aerobic exercise (where little is presently available) to Register as a Climber on www.KOMpm.com and log their KOM Climb Times in some of the 63 KOM Climbs across 9 Climb Regions in rural settings on the perimeter of Greater Sydney/Illawarra and the Gold Coast Hinterland (South Eastern Queensland) in order to qualify to compete in their Semi Final Sunday climbing 3 KOM Climbs where 25% progress to one of the 2 Finals Days on Saturday 28 May 2011 and Sunday 29 May 2011; and (II) the 5 Disabled Categories across both sexes in the Section 10 - One Day of Disabled Category Finals on Saturday 21 May 2011. The Event Team Fee for Inaugural Annual KOM Challenge Series in Sydney is listed in Financial Model Schedule 2 - Aust '12, '13, '14 at cell J62. As noted in Section 13B(f), Event Team Fee for Inaugural Annual KOM Challenge Series will materially diminish - (i) if public and government agencies evidence the Annual KOM Challenge Series - (a) achieve Collective Action by 520 health and fitness minded Qualifiers influence Australians to reprioritise their values and reduce their energy demands and associated carbon emissions - an Ecologically Sustainable Development; and (b) improve the QOL of Disabled folk who compete in the Disabled Category Finals day, and (ii) due to internet delivery of commoditised modules enabling the Annual KOM Challenge Series to be franchised to a large Bicycle Organization in countless global cities with low delivery costs, whereupon Govt Health Departs in many States and Provinces across the globe will encourage their Bicycle Organisations to apply for a KOM Challenge Series Franchise, with the support of their Environment and Health agencies. |
