Six Mentor Guidance Topics For Ten Regional Township Teams or Six Mentor Guidance Topics means in order to develop Problem Solving Behaviours a Cross Section Of Mentors will utilise a Variety Of Communication Options to mentor 140 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students (detailed in On-Site Workshops) to:

a)      develop -

          1.          a fervour for the fellowship and bonhomie from Team Bonding with the support of each of the Ten Regional Township Team's  Indigenous Local Connector, following On-Site Workshops (for the Year 9  Mixed Teams' Tri-Sports Challenge) for each of the Three Mixed Team Sports conducted by -
*        one
of 2  x  Team Sporting Coaches for each of the Three Mixed Team Sports (6   Team Sporting Coaches for the three sports);
*        one of 10  x  
Younger Indigenous Corporate Sponsor Sports Employees and;
*       
one of 12  
x  Sporting Role Models;

          2.          Public Speaking And Speech Preparation Skills to Speak Efficiently using Simple English bereft of Filler Words and Hold An Audience Confidently from On-Site Workshops (for the Year 10  Mixed Teams' Public Speaking Challenge) taught by two of 4  x  Public Speaking Instructors and one of 12  x  Sporting Role Models; and

         3.          skills to use I.T. And Useful Social Media Apps to manage finances and communicate efficiently from On-Site Workshops taught by two of 4  x  I.T. Geek Nerds and one of 12  x  Sporting Role Models.

b)      deliver Mentoring Support Messages at an On-Site Workshop (for the Year 11  Mixed Teams' I.T. Geek Challenge) at each of  Six Regional Townships (2 of 4  x  Life Skills Guardians and one of 12  x  Sporting Role Models) which -

         4.          discuss Four Nasty Pitfalls Besetting Teenagers;

         5.          point out that Indigenous Australians, in particular full blood Aborigines, are unable to maintain a 'fatty' Western diet and consume the quantum of alcohol and sugar/caffeine drinks that many Caucasians are consuming; and

         6.          explain the value of Combating Life's Negative Stressors With Regular Positive Stressors - for all but the last scintilla of Homo sapiens 125,000 years tenure on 'terra firma', Homo sapiens led an exceedingly physically active life as a hunter/gather and/or farmer.  Otherwise s/he couldn't feed their family.  Regular challenging exercise -

     *          was integral to human survival; and

     *          produces valuable Positive Stressors.

Additionally, Three Indigenous Australians that have "lived experiences of prison" and have defied Australia's Whacko Recidivism Rates by improving their life's fortunes post release, would deliver a presentation that focuses on -

   a)     the people that supported them along that journey, both within the correctional services system and family/friends; and

   b)     the merit of literacy, numeracy and fundamental computer skills - showing the particular Regional Township Team/s on a large screen that dedicated software programs on YouTube that stimulate a want to learn are all attainable on-line

 

Six Mentor Guidance Topics For Ten Regional Township Teams is one of Thirteen Deliverables From ''Aboriginal Teenager Life Skills'  Early Intervention Programme.
