I.T. And Useful Social Media Apps means the following syllabus for the Year 11  Mixed Teams' I.T. Geek Challenge -

i)         email, Excel, Word;

ii)        search engines (Google, Edge, Firefox, Bing, Yahoo);

iii)       Google Drive and Google Sheets enables shared use for 'Teams' - similar to Facebook, but enabling Excel structure to compartmentalise 'team member inputs'

iv)       smart phones; and

v)        responsible social networking applications from amongst Variety Of Communication Options (the Do's and the Do Nots),

will be taught to each of Ten Regional Township Teams by two of four I.T. Geek Nerds during three Mentor Days at an On-Site Workshop, as well as on-going tuition from their Indigenous Local Connector - set out in Sanctioned Indigenous Team Connector Sessions.

Excel will be focused on because it is exceedingly useful when mastered.  As examples, Ten Regional Township Teams will have to -

  • calculate whether a list of living explicit expenses ($25 p/w for petrol, $100 p/w on food, $400 p/fortnight on rent, $70 p/month for mobile phone etc. will be payable based on a weekly salary of say $700 p/w), 

  • calculate the income tax payable for different net annual income allowing for standard expenses across different tax rates; and

  • aggregate superannuation payments that have gone to various super funds from various part time jobs that the average teenager works.

Attaining I.T. And Useful Social Media Apps to manage finances and communicate efficiently facilitates Interpersonal Skills - is a vital component of Social Inclusion which 'inter alia' mitigates Violent Extremism And Radicalism.
