Defined Terms and Documents      'Aboriginal Teenager Life Skills' RTV Social Inclusion Early Intervention Programme 

Ten Regional Township Teams means 140 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students will fill Ten Regional Township Teams from the Selected Six Townships In The Northern Territory With A Population >2000 across Australia ('Team Darwin' @ 2, 'Team Palmerston' @ 2, 'Team Katherine' @ 2, 'Team Alice Springs' @ 2, 'Team 'Arnhem' @ 1, 'Team Barkly' @ 1).

Each Regional Township Team will comprise 14 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students -

a)         who live in the Six Regional Townships (drawn from the Selected Six Townships In The Northern Territory With A Population >2000);

b)         previously Did Not Score In Top 10% In Numeracy, Literacy And English Writing Test;

c)         agreed to be guided by a Cross Section Of Mentors under the Motivational Incentive Of RTV by being featured in some of  34  x One Hour RTV Episodes of "Attaining Teenager Life Skills" during the Aboriginal Teenager Life Skills Coverage Period driven by Three Motivational Teams Challenges for the Thirteen Deliverables From 'Aboriginal Teenager Life Skills' Programme in order to Maximise Life Opportunities;

d)         have attended a Year 9 Applicant Interview with at least one member of the Life Skills Philanthropic Service Movement and -

            (i)         displays ambivert characteristics, in particular that they are good listeners;

            (ii)        impress with their resolve and commitment to seize the opportunity; and

            (iii)       appear receptive to 'being coached';

e)         comprise 14 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students selected by the 'Life Skills Philanthropic Service Movement; and

f)          employ the term 'township' not 'school' in order to foster pride in the Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students from all residents in the township, as explained in Enable New Role Models In Isolated Country Towns And Enhance Pride In These Towns which is one of Thirteen Deliverables From 'Aboriginal Teenager Life Skills' Programme.

Student Sports Clothing, Equipment, Suit and PC notes that each of the three outfits for the Three Mixed Teams Sports for the Year 9  Mixed Teams' Tri-Sports Challenge will display the -

(a)        name of the particular Regional Township Team on the breastplate 'Team Darwin', 'Team Palmerston', 'Team Katherine', 'Team Alice Springs' , 'Team 'Arnhem', 'Team Barkly'; and

(b)        the 'nickname' of the particular student across the shoulders on the back of the shirt/jersey.

The Life Skills Philanthropic Service Movement -

i)          may remove any of the140 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students who fails to apply the promised commitment;

ii)         will select the two students at each of the Ten Regional Township Teams with the optimum 'leading' and 'communicating' skills, irrespective of gender, and appoint them as Township Team Captain and Township Team Vice-Captain, for each of the Ten Regional Township Teams, who will be the primary points of contact for their Indigenous Local Connector and the Six Regional Township Teams Co-ordinators; and

iii)        may remove any Township Team Captain or Township Team Vice-Captain who fails to be an effective primary communication point for the other Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students in their Regional Township Team.
