On an "thankfully" o'cast day, Muggs exceeded 20 cyclists for the first time
since the annual
Boxing Day ride to "Mt White 'n back" over 2 years ago when 30
cyclists attended, ostensibly as there was no other ride for cycling
tragics.
Alas,
only two girls amongst us - Caroline aka
Princess
and Tara aka
Social Scientist.
Samurai, Guy
aka Lawyer (who
returned after doing a few ocean swims on recent Sundays, incl
the 2.3km Palm
Beach
to Whale Beach last Sunday),
BeanCounter,
'Miner,
Bruce, Caroline and Tara turned around at Mt White.
The rest of us continued north to Somersby, where
the burgers were again magnifique, albeit we lost two as Arno
and Todd continued onwards. The rest of us were happy to 'put
up the feet' for 30 mins.
TugBoat hasn't lost his thirst for
clocking new KOM Climb Times, pushing past such luminaries as
Arno and Todd
on the climb from Mooney Mooney bridge to the KOM.
ToothFairy
and John aka
Auckland return next Sunday, shortly followed by Matt aka
Printer
following the Tasmanian Ride which starts this w'end. |
Nothing much RONG with that!!! |
Some cyclists like their biddon at the rear - climbing out of Mt
White |
Bank Teller

Pics from Somersby after 71km, where the
burgers are beaut |
