Ø Hardcopy these directions and bring on Sunday
Ø
Expend
10 min studying your UBD/Gregory's to
familiarize with the below
Ø
Don't leave your brain at home on
battery-recharge, 'cause this is a
complex route
Ø
Ride two
abreast on single lane roads at own
peril
Ø Get off
the road at Sag Stops
Ø
Cycling
without Public Liability cover is as silly as driving without 3rd Party -
join Bicycle NSW for PL insurance, so that all Muggs are better protected
Ø
When passing a
fellow Mugg, always provide a metre clearance. If you can't, or are
passing on the inside, you MUST call out loudly eg. "passing inside
tight" etc

Scribe's
rap of
"St Ives, Duffy's West Hd,
Warriewood 'n Wakehurst Pky" - 91km - 14 starters
A coolish night, but golly gosh
didn't it turn out a corker of a late Autumn day. Some of the
locals were in their swim togs at Warriewood Beach when we arrived there
approaching midday after 65km.
Yamaha was explaining the finer points of his
tandem to Smurf at eight bells as the crew marshalled in St Ives
carpark. Tony aka
QuietAchiever, right of screen seemingly
in a "pensive mode". Two other New Chums, Barry aka
Firey
and
Graham, who Scribe met on the Tasmania ride last Feb, were
being introduced.
The crew spread-eagled at our initial Sag Stop
outside Terrey Hills Fruit Barn after 6.6km.
After twenty clicks the gang Sagged off-road
outside the Terrey Hills Thai Restaurant before heading for West Head.
West Head was at its pristine best, as 13 or so of the
gang soaked-up a welcome belt of late Autumn 21o sunshine.
Sean aka Smurf on the back as the Stoker,
with Yamaha the Captain
Gene aka KoalaBear similarly giving it his all
throttling it out of the early downhill from West Head
L to R clockwise: Samurai,
Ian aka Flash,
Graham, Pete aka Yamaha 'n Lynda
L to R clockwise - Deb, Smurf, John aka Auckland
(cause he's a Kiwi) Pete aka
Pacific, Gene aka
KoalaBear,
LongHaul, Barry aka
Fiery ('cause he's a Fireman)
Bank Teller, with two blooming
petals up-front who both had taken a liking to ice-cream.
Post ride, Yamaha, Lynda 'n Steve were busy
downloading Polar ride data on
Scribe's laptop at Patterson's Patisserie. Back-of-picture Firey,
Samurai and Graham were deep
in discussion. The petite blonde waitress in black was relieved, 'cause she'd finally
found Samurai's order of Macadamia Pie, albeit well after the rest
of us had dispensed with our Nose Bags.
MORE PICS WILL BE PUBLISHED ON MONDAY OR TUES EVENING
