Scribe's rap-up of Tour de Wisemans Ferry - 119km - 7 cyclists
L to R at
Wisemans Ferry Cafe -
Scribe,
Rex aka MediaMan,
Harry aka KayakMan,
Martin aka Architect,
Brian aka Whippet,
Tony aka Publican
(from his best side) and
Pete aka PacificPete
Rex and Martin started from Hornsby for the 48km 1st
Leg via a chilly Galston Gorge. Harry, Tony and Brian met-up with
Scribe at Porters Scenic Lookout having cycled from home at some ungodly
hour. The cooler weather had one upside being much fewer Petrol Heads
dragging boats up Old Northern Rd. Pedaling thru rustic suburbs like
Glenorie, Forest Glen, Canoelands and Weaver to Wisemans Ferry is powerful
pleasant on a Sunday morn'.
The return continuous 2nd Leg which all but Phil and
Pete took, must 've whacked Rex, Harry, Martin, Brian and Tony, 'cause it was
59km with climbs from Cliftonville, Mid Dural and Galston Gorge.
Pete and Scribe called in at the
Stone House
Cafe Maroota and socked-up the warming sun chatting to a young fit chap named
Earl who had cycled from Picton.
