Return via - * Wilberforce, Sackville Ferry, Wisemans Ferry Rd, Halcrows Rd, Cattai Ridge Rd, Galston Gorge, Hornsby - 129km OR ii) Galston shops 8:50am to cycle 41km to Windsor to arrive at 10:40am for 1st Nosh Stop (30 min) - Agg 83km - ETR Galston 12:50pm OR iii) Porter's Lookout, Dural 9:05am to cycle 38km to Windsor to arrive at 10:40am for 1st Nosh Stop (30 min) - Agg 76km - ETR Dural 12:30pm In theory, all starters should arrive at Cnr Old Northern Rd and Wyoming Rd around 9:10am.
Ø There are two timber bridges on Pitt Town Rd about 12km short of Windsor with dangerous gaps between some planks and large extruding bolts. Dismount and walk these two short bridges, because in June 2009 Rex took a nasty tumble on the 2nd bridge closer to Windsor

Pete aka CampyAficionado, KayakMan and PacificPete are starting from Dural Make sure you have long finger gloves and several layers, 'cause the descent of Galston Gorge will be chilly. Otherwise, park at Galston street-front shops with Justine aka Trumpeter and new femme, Jane, by 8:50am to meet the Hornsby starters about 70m West of large roundabout around 9am. Ø Hardcopy these directions and bring on Sunday Ø Don't ride two abreast on single lane roads with an unbroken centre line and descend corners on wet roads as though you are skating on ice Ø Click on: Risk Management which warns of the dangers of cycling on public roads with motor cars, potholes and over bridges with vertical timber planks with gaps, and to cycle much slower at corners on descents on wet roads Ø Cycling without Public Liability cover is as silly as driving without 3rd Party - join Bicycle NSW or Bike Vic for PL insurance, or upgrade your household policy to include PL beyond your front fence, so that all Muggs are better protected, 'cause if you cause a serious accident it could cost you upwards of $1m in PL claims by the injured party, which could be a fellow cyclist Ø When passing a fellow Mugg, always provide a metre clearance. If you can't, or are passing on the inside, you MUST call out loudly eg. "passing inside" etc |
