gathered in Johnson Ave after a helter skelter pursuit over the M2/Abbots Rd
where Scribe snagged a flat.
Mark must have taken this pic, 'cause LongHaul
is the only one in the below snap from Macquarie Square Windsor after 48.5km who isn't in
the above Happy Snap.
Up at Springwood after 81km 'twas a tad
cooler, so we moved inside the
Old Poste Office Cafe
Springwood for lunch consisting
of yummy jumbo milk shakes in old fashioned Milk Bar glass servers
'n stainless steel tumblers (none of the
cardboard carton stuff), and various cheese melts, whereupon lunch collectively scored a
10 out of 10 from all of us. Following which we vamoosed down Mitchells Pass,
caught a train from Penrith station to Seven Hills and cycled east along the M2
and Kissing Point Rd back to BaseCamp. That 60m @ +18 degrees up
the final bit of Kissing Point Rd is always a dog after returning from Windsor. And
the 3.7km from Browns Waterhole up to the Pacific H'way plays havoc with you ave
speed.

Kaza entered the solo
event and cycled the entire 12
hours, completing 312km
Glenn also entered as a solo
and clicked over 390km
Matt was also in a 3 man team, but don't know who may Ks he registered
