Matt shines with a PB of 267km from St Ives to northern tip
of Lake George
Glenn aka
Vamoots
reported that last Sat.
Matt aka
Printer
done real good by easily setting a new PB of 267km of the 305km
course from Sydney to Canberra. Twas a long day with cyclists getting out of bed
at 3am for a 4am start from
Pattison's Patisserie, St
Ives.
Glenn’s
“measure everything computer”
registered a max temp of 43o mid-arvo and a SW headwind
which peaked at 30km p/h as the afternoon unfolded.
When Matt sought refuge from the supporting
Sag Wagon
as Lake George approached, there were already 6 of the original starters in the
support vehicle, incl some "A" Graders who blew-up. Matt recharged
the batteries and rode the final 5km to Parliament House Canberra.

Ten showed-up -
Tornado,
BeanCounter,
KoalaBear,
BankTeller,
tyro Glenda (another nurse),
HillMonster,
Adam 'n Eve ,
John aka
Auckland
(you guessed it, another Kiwi)
and
Heineken.

Peats Ridge MidCoast Petroleum General Store where the prices are materially
cheaper
Yesterday a few of the gang turned
around at Peats Ridge after 55km – HillMonster, Heineken and Tornado.
Gene stayed with the remainders twds Wyong, but at Springs Rd, after 64km, he
chucked a “Uie” to ride back rather than carry on the remaining 27km.
These secret strepitous train sessions are becoming more frequent.
