Four Challenge Judging Major City Venues means:

(i)         Year 9  Mixed Teams' Tri-Sports Challenge - in September 2026
5 of the Ten Regional Township Teams will attend the Western City Tri-Sports Challenge at a major Australian west or southwest coast city (probably Adelaide);
and

             the other 5 of the Ten Regional Township Teams will attend the Eastern City Tri-Sports Challenge at a major Australian east coast city (probably Brisbane);

(ii)        Year 10  Mixed Teams' Public Speaking Challenge - in September 2027

             the Ten Regional Township Teams will attend the the Southern City Public Speaking Challenge at a major Australian southern city (ie. probably Melbourne); and

(iii)       Year 11  Mixed Teams' I.T. Geek Challenge - in September 2028
Ten Regional Township Teams will all attend the First City Venue (probably Sydney).

Sydney has been selected as the First City Venue to host the Year 11  Mixed Teams' I.T. Geek Challenge.  However, Sydney and Melbourne could swap these roles if there was some benefit, for example a GPS School or CHS College was available to accommodate students in one year, but not the other  - refer Point 2. in Notes to the 'Life Skills' Programme Budget'.

Character Building Benefits From Volunteering and Team Community Service note that all of the 120 attending Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students will carry out 'Meal Preparation Shifts' and 'Washing & Wiping Up Shifts' in the kitchen at breakfast and dinner on each day that Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students attend the Four Challenge Judging Major City Venues billeted at GPS or CHS Colleges Late September/Early October School Holidays.

Notes to the 'Life Skills' Programme Budget' include:

1.         Students would travel by shuttle/bus for up to 800km each way to attend three of the Four Challenge Judging Major City Venues.  On average, each of the 120 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students would require return air transport to two of their three Challenge Judging Venues.  With only 'One Challenge Venue' in the Third RTV Year (probably Sydney), the Third Year will experience the highest air travel costs.

2.         When attending the 'Three Annual Challenges', students would be billeted at GPS or CHS Colleges Late September/Early October School Holidays when the majority of 'borders' are absent visiting their families.

September/October 2027 School Holidays notes the Various Parties that will attend the Year 9  Mixed Teams' Tri-Sports Challenge to consolidate the experience of Team Bonding during September/October 2024 -  First RTV Year.
