Rap-up of Anti-C/W Tour of Greater Sydney - Turra', Windsor, Richmond,
Springwood, Penrith, Seven Hills 'n Turra -
126km - 6 starters
If ya going to embark on a ride which passes thru
the Lower Blue Mtns in mid-Winter, ya got to allow for a possible cold 'n wet
day, even if ya just 'scored' a week of beaut, warm days. We got
one today. Not a beaut warm one, but a day that got colder 'n wetter.
But it didn't daunt any of us.
Above 'n below pics at
The Bridge
Cafe après 49.3km when the weather was at its Bestest, albeit
the temp at Browns Water Hole was "brisk"
A few secs after this pic at
Yarramundi Lookout after a tough 3.6km climb from the valley below, Harry 'n Pete struck a
cord with these two local bikies in black, perhaps cause Pete used to ride a
motor bike, and alas remains a Petrolhead

Aroma
Cafe, Springwood
Our scheduled train trip from Penrith to Seven Hills
Pete 'n Jane in the next carriage en
route from Penrith to Seven Hills station where the weather
was "deteriorating" by the minute. |

Pete must 've been in the school cadets in an earlier life,
but then again after cycling 126km out West, 'n getting dumped on twds the end, one
could understand his lack of expression
A slightly more "cas..." pic post-ride, perhaps 'cause
Jane aka
Neo-Luddite and
Bank Teller were both "temporarily"
brain-dead after a day that got colder 'n wetter. |
