Bank Teller's rap-up of Tour de Austinmer, returning thru RNP  -  89km  -  8 cyclists

Matt aka Printer was narky in the above pic 'cause Scribe was 5 mins late for rollout from Sutherland Leisure Centre

The above pic, taken into the rising sunlight on Sea Cliff Bridge at Coalcliff, turned-out better than some of the skeptics in the pic forecast, so there!!!
L to R -  Steve aka AnotherPrinter, Harry aka KayakMan, Greg aka ArchitectToo, Pacific Pete, TreeHugger, and Lois who lives locally in the Shire

LHS is only pic from our Nosh Stop at Austinmer, 'cause the pic taken inside was all blurry.  The Austinmer cafe/restaurant was a bit too de rigueur for us common hoi polloi.  To Scribe's disappointment the joint had removed the home made bake beans (chockers full of "healthy" broad bean legumes) from the menu, whereupon Matt and Scribe settled for scrambled eggs on toast.  Can't recall what others ordered.

When we attempted to pay individually for what we had ordered the lass at the cash register was unaccommodating, whereupon Matt took the initiative by paying for most.  In banking parlance Matt was taking "credit default counterparty risk", where his cycle buddies where the "counterparties".  Reckon there would 've been a few Muggs who wouldn't 've so readily shelled-out to accommodate "House Rules".  In any event, Matt wasn't left out-of-pocket.

Hence, we will likely take Lois' recommendation to "cycle another three clicks south" to Thirroul, turn left and follow the bike path "for another click or so", and voila a cheap 'n cheerful cafe called Rubi's Cafe on the LHS approaching Bulli which is popular with cyclists with a magic view of the south coast - see below pic.

T'was a beaut ride where the weather turned out better than expected.  Seems the Southside for once had the better of climatic conditions.  And a lot better than in the Vic Alps, home of the Bright Audax Alpine Classic, where it was blowing at 130km p/h.

The pristine, magestic view from Ruby's Cafe, Bulli Beach which we will Nosh at on our next ride from Sutherland

Harry, amidst a beaut panorama, perhaps pondering the imminent assault of steepish Bald Hill to Stanwell Tops

Some of the contingent back at familiar Otford Apple Pie Shop enjoying the familiar verdant grassy knoll affronting the majestic Blue Pacific which was as flat as a tack head
