ETR Turramurra station 4:15pm. Bank Teller's rap-up of Hornsby, Mt White, Kariong, Woy Woy train to Brooklyn, PitS, Hornsby - 96km - 11 starters Bazza 'n Peter C. turned around approaching Mt White. Pimpernel, Guy 'n BeanCounter did a `180o at the roundabout 2km shy of Kariong, 'cause they were too lousy to buy a train ticket at Woy Woy station. They will tell you stuff about "I came to ride my bike, not catch a train". But don't believe 'em. Each of 'em still has the first penny they ever earned. The rest of us - Martin aka Architect, ToothFairy, Auckland, Pacific n' Bank Teller shelled-out the $3.20 for the fare to Hawkesbury River station, and cycled the arduous 8.7km to PitS for another caffeine fix, whereupon we eventually chugged the 19km back to Hornsby. The weather was balmy. We only rode 96km. But we was happy. Post ride, Guy reported that Grant, Rex and himself nailed-it back to Hornsby, with a fleeting stop-over at PitS, 'cause Grant had Chores Beckoning. Gees, after a few weeks of suss, damp weather, we finally score a corker of a Winter's day, and these three turkeys piss-off early to go home to mow lawns and do other trivial tasks.
