*      return via Ettalong ferry to Palm Beach and cycle to St Ives                  -  122km  -  ETR  1:50pm; or 

*      catch train at Woy Woy to Hornsby station (68km) and cycle to St Ives   -    83km  -  ETR midday

  • All cyclists should target arriving at 1st Nosh Stop of Mt White at 8:40am. If you are slow start at 6:40am from
    St Ives or 7:05am from Hornsby. If ya fast, start by 7am from     St Ives' or 7:15am from Hornsby.

Rollout St Ives car park on Mona Vale Rd (opposite Stanley St and Pattersons Pattiserie) between 6:40am and 7am (depending on your ride speed) to arrive at Mt White Road Warriors Cafe at 8:40am for 1st Nosh stop - 30 min.

Second Leg:  Mt White Road Warriors cafe to Kariong Shell garage - 19.2km (52 min)


9:10am -

  • R  Nth up Old Pac H'way for 6.2km to Calga Interchange; 

  • R  East to Gosford “Scenic Route”, remaining on Old Pac H'way, to intermittent sounds of chirping Bellbirds, crossing Mooney Mooney creek 4.1km later;

  • climb 6.1km and take a Sag Stop (3 min) at the Wisemans Ferry/Gosford roundabout at Somersby Industrial Estate - keeping well to LHS; and

  • R Sth for 700m on Wisemans Ferry Rd, then L gradually ascending for 1.4km Old Pac H'way arriving at familiar Kariong Shell garage at 10am for Sag Stop (10 min).

 

Third legs from 10:10am:

Either:    Kariong Shell garage to Ettalong ferry - 18km (42 min) to catch 11:10am ferry to Palm Beach

Scribe’s rap-up of last Sunday, Cinque Montagnes clockwise  92km - 7 starters

 

 

Samurai, Scribe, Bazza, Richard, Heineken, Pacific Pete and ToothFairy marshalled at Pie in the Shy under pleasant spring sunshine.  Alas, Scribe's digital camera had a flat batter, so golly gosh "only one pic".  Richard headed nth with Sig's contingent.  Bazza bolted back.  The rest of us followed the advertised route to Andy's for an early lunch.  Then more hills back to Nth Turra'.
