The above aggregate 'Number of Credit/Charge Card Purchase transactions annually:  Oct 21 - Sept 2022' of almost 3.3 billion Purchases annually is calculated from RBA worksheet 'c01hist.xlsx Data' from Column H of =SUM(Data!H453:H464)*1000 in Excel file CreditCardsSummayData.

• Column H titled ‘Number of credit and charge card purchase transactions’ for the 12 months to end Sept 2022 to agg. to 3,295,731,984 (3.295 bil Purchase transactions currently annually).

• Column I titled ‘Value of credit and charge card purchase transactions’ for the 12 months to end Sept 2022 to agg. to $358,338,383,447 ($358.3 bil in Purchases annually).

The average Purchase amount is $108.73

NB:    Cash Advances are also Credit Card Transactions.  They account for almost half of 1% of total Credit Card Transactions annually (0.41%).  Cash Advances presently pay Usurious Interest Rates, and some or all of a Late Payment Fee, a Monthly Account Service Fee (if a debit balance) and a Cash Advance Fee.  Therefore the quantity of Cash Advances are not included in the calculation of annual Credit Card transactions for the Equitable User Pays Cost Contribution Scheme.
