Understanding The Culture And Rights Of Australia's Original Inhabitants means -

(i)         becoming aware of the traditions, customs, ideals and values of Aboriginal Indigenous Australians that have occupied Australia for around 50,000 years, whereas the white man 'et al'  have occupied Australia for a few hundred years; and

(ii)       one of Three Speech Topics in the 5 Minutes Speak Off as part of the Year 10 Mixed Teams' Public Speaking Challenge.

Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students notes 'inter alia': 

2. At least 40% of the 140 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students (56) will be full-blood Aboriginal Heritage.  At least a further 40% of the 140 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students will enjoy at least one quarter Aboriginal Heritage (56).  Ipso facto, at least 80% or 112 circa of the 140 Accepted Year 9 Aboriginal Students will possess manifest Aboriginal Heritage.
