All cyclists should target arriving at 8:30am at Road Warriors' Cafe, Mt. White for 1st Sag Stop

Ø    Click on: Risk Warnings which warns of the dangers of cycling on public roads with motor cars, potholes and over bridges with vertical timber planks with gaps

Ø    Cycling without Public Liability cover is as silly as driving without 3rd Party - join Bicycle NSW for PL insurance, or upgrade your household policy to include PL beyond your front fence, so that all Muggs are better protected, 'cause if you cause a serious accident it could cost you upwards of $1m in PL claims by the injured 3rd party

Ø    When passing a fellow Mugg, always provide a metre clearance.  If you can't, or are passing on the inside, you MUST call out loudly eg. "passing inside" etc

Ø    Don't ride two abreast on single lane roads with an unbroken centre line

Hornsby to Mt White - 35.5km - 90 min

Park in Hornsby street side car-park 80m Nth of Railway Hotel in Jersey St - N/W side of Hornsby station. 

Rollout from 7:20am, -

  • Nth up Jersey St for 500m,

  • L for 20m to traffic lights;

  • R onto Old Pacific Highway for 35km for 1st Sag Stop  (10 min) at Mt White Road Warriors' Cafe from 8:50am.

OR park in Berowra station carpark to Mt White -  24km - 65 min

Nth up Old Pacific Highway from 7:30am for 24km for 1st Nosh Stop (30 min) at Mt White Road Warriors' Cafe from 8:50am.

 

OR park in Cowan station carpark to Mt White -  20km - 52 min

Nth up Old Pacific Highway from 7:40am for 20km for 1st Nosh Stop (30 min) at Mt White Road Warriors' Cafe from 8:50am.

 

2nd Leg:  Mt White to Peats Ridge - 21km - 58 min (56.5km from Hornsby)

Depart Bikie Hangout by 9am -

  • Nth along Old Pacific H'way for 6.2km to Calga;

  • L into Peats Ridge Rd for 15km continuous, gradual climb for Nosh Stop (30 min) at United Gas Peats Ridge arriving from 10am.

3rd Leg:  Peats Ridge to Somersby General Store - 9.5km - 22 min (66km)

From 10:30am -

  • NEE along Peats Ridge Rd for 9.3km to "off-ramp";

  • Left up "off-ramp" and Right along Wisemans Ferry Rd for 200m to Somersby General Store (4372.1269ph) arriving from 10:50am for 2nd Sag Stop  (10 min).

4th Leg: Somersby General Store to Mt White - 24km - 70 min (89km from Hornsby)

11am -

  • R along Wisemans Ferry Rd for 7.5km to large Roundabout at juncture with Old Pacific H'way for Sag Stop (5 min) off-the-road from 11:20am;  

  • R into Old Pacific Highway for 6.5km to Mooney Mooney Creek bridge;

  • Ahead on Old Pacific Highway for 4.3km to Calga Interchange;

  • L on Old Pacific Highway for 6.2km to Mt White for 3rd Sag Stop (10 min).

 

5th Leg: Mt White to Pie in the Sky - 16km - 42 min (105km from Hornsby)

12:20pm descend Old Pacific H'way, cross Brooklyn Bridge over Hawkesbury River, pass Brooklyn Rd [103km] and ascend 3.9km for 3rd Nosh Stop at Pie in the Sky (30 min) from 1pm.

 

6th Leg: Pie in the Sky to Hornsby - 19.3km - 55 min (124.3km from Hornsby)

1:30pm Sth down Old Pacific H'way -

  • pass Berowra [115km] around 2:10pm, and

  • return to Hornsby, taking R fork at Asquith, continuing along Old Pacific H'way [125km] at 2:25pm.
