Last Sunday's rap-up of Tour
de Wisemans Ferry from Hornsby, Galston, Cliftonville, Maroota, Galston -
120km - 7 cyclists, where 4 started from
Porters Lookout Dural for 98km
Above 'n below pics at
Wisemans Ferry cafe
Notwithstanding the
Risk Warning in the
Ride Invitation in
last week's Bullsheet, some silly duffers didn't dismount when they crossed
this dangerous timber bridge 5km from Wisemans Ferry on 13.5km Scenic Road to
Cliftonville. Scribe knows of 2 deaths and one "instant paraplegia"
resulting from cycling over such bridges where the front wheel caught between 2
adjoining planks, stopped dead, and the
cyclist kept going "first head".

Stone
House Cafe Maroota after 72km from Hornsby

Subject: Sunday ride
Got back to Hornsby
feeling better that I thought I would. Those two (Trevor and Jean)
are strong on the hills where I got dropped climbing Galston Gorge, but I
managed to catch them up again. Did 119.00km at 25.66kph which was pretty
good.
That is a great ride
with some beaut countryside and lots good road surfaces. I really
enjoyed it.
John
Bank Teller started
from the shorter start spot of
Porters Lookout Dural with
Peter aka
CampyAficionado and
averaged 21.5km over 98km.
If you are slower like Bank
Teller start from the shorter spot and discuss the ride route with
Phil before Sunday, 'cause he knows all the short cuts.
