Or WESTERN START OPTION 7:45am from Porters Scenic Lookout (Cnr Old Northern Rd and Galston Rd, Dural) -  107km  -  ETR 12:15pm
Both groups join-up at Cnr Mid Dural Rd and Old Northern Rd from 7:50am to arrive Richmond Oval where we plan to meet cyclists for 1st Nosh Stop (35 min) from 10:25am who commenced from Turra' station or Vimiera Rd Marsfield

1st Longer Leg from Hornsby:  To Cnr Mid Dural Rd and Old Northern Rd Windsor, via Galston Gorge - 14km approx - 40 min:  Is any cyclist commencing from Hornsby? So I can list your name for others to look out for?

*    Rollout 7:15am from Hornsby station carpark Nth up Jersey St for 500m, 

*    L into Bridge Rd 40m to lights at Old Pacific H’way, 

*    R Nth for 700m on Old Pacific H’way, 

*    L at lights into Galston Rd for 5km to Galston Gorge noisy timber bridge,

*    Ascend for 3km to Crosslands Rd,

*    L for 1.1km to main roundabout

 

*    Ahead into Mid Dural Rd for 1.9km to meet cyclists (who start from Porters Scenic Lookout at 7:40am) at Cnr Mid Dural Rd and Old Northern Rd.  Bring your mobile - Rex, who is starting from Dural, is #0408 503.442.

1st Shorter Leg from Porters Scenic Lookout, Dural:  To 50m Nth of Cnr Mid Dural Rd and Old Northern Rd - 4km approx - 10 min:

       *     Rollout 7:45am Nth up Old Northern Rd for 4km to meet cyclists who start from Hornsby 50m Nth of Cnr Mid Dural Rd and Old Northern Rd well off the road at 7:55am.  Bring your mobile Rex's #0408 503.442.

2nd Leg from Cnr Mid Dural Rd and Old Northern Rd Windsor, Cattai Ridge Rd, Halcrows Rd, Sackville Ferry, Wilberforce Rd, The Terrace, Windsor Rd to Richmond - 59km approx - 2 hr 15 min:

*    From 7:55am, R up Old Northern Rd for 3.9km,
*    L into Cattai Ridge Rd for 9km,
*    Veer R into Halcrows Rd for 7½km,
*    R into Wisemans Ferry Road for 13km,
*    L into Sackville Ferry Rd slowly descending for 9km to Sackville Ferry - cross on Ferry,
*    Ahead on Sackville Rd for 9km,
*    Ahead into King Rd for 1km,
*    L into Wilberforce Rd for 7km eventually crossing Windsor Bridge and immediately turn Right into The Terrace - Do not cycle uphill to the roundabout,
*    Ahead in The Terrace for 1.2km passing the Oldest Stone Anglican church on the mainland

*    Right into Windsor/Richmond Rd for 5km for 1st Nosh Stop (35 min) from approx 10:25am at The Blue Lagoon Cafe opposite Richmond Oval where U meet cyclists (for 1st Nosh Stop) who started from Turramurra station who are riding onto Springwood.

Return at 11:00am via Pitt Town Rd to -
*        Porters Scenic Lookout - 31km - 75 min - ETR 12:15pm
*        Galston Park - 43.4km - 100 min

Rap-up of Duffys Forest, West Head, Bayview Kiosk, Akuna Bay - 99km - 17 crew

 


 2nd Sag Stop following the Duffy Forest flat out 'n back after 22km.  Pulling up juxtapose 3 abreast on the roadway, rather than the usual off-road in front of the Thai Restaurant, leaves particularly the third row vulnerable to an unsuspecting motorist in a hurry going nowhere on a Sunday morn'. 
The Australian female road racing team got decked holus bolus with massive carnage, incl the death of Amy Gillett, when a dumb motorist did a dumber thing in Germany two years ago.  Full points to The Kaiser for adhering to the Risk Warning "Get off the road at Sag Stops".
Sag Stops are the most vulnerable part of organising a public bike ride.
