clicks and aren't impeded by the traffic lights granting us access to
Mona Vale Rd.
Scribe's rap-up of a windswept
Hornsby to Wyong for
Iron Horse home - 93km - 5 cyclists
It was a morn' which didn't warm the cockles of you heart to
bust into the saddle. In fact, when
Scribe
found only John aka Auckland marshalled at Hornsby station,
Scribe hoped that
John may want to retreat to a cafe in Hornsby, seeing as how it was a bleak
'n blustery desolate morn'.
However, John had missed three Sundays running and announced
that he wanted to
ride. We were soon joined by Barry aka
Firey and Grant aka
BeanCounter.
Richard A, who had cycled from Dural,
met us at a windswept Mt White which was bereft of motor bikes.
Only three of us, Scribe, Auckland and Firey
made it to Wyong, albeit in record time, 'cause we had a screaming southerly up
our Khyber Pass all the way, because Wyong is due Nth of Hornsby.
But you would have thought you were throwing good money after bad, if
back at a desolate Hornsby
at eight bells
you had pondered that anyone would be aboarding a train from
the scheduled destination's end of Wyong mid-arvo, even if we did skip the 58km
out/back diversion to Spencer.
