Bourke, Walgett, Cobar and Brewarrina in NSW) experience high crime rates not limited to: assault, break and enter, motor vehicle theft, malicious damage to property, child sexual abuse, neglect of children, family violence, crystal meth addiction Also prevalent: youth suicide, high Indigenous incarceration, school absenteeism, boredom, social disadvantage, dilapidated housing, early experimentation with alcohol, petrol sniffing and excessive cigarette smoking |
