18 Days In France Itinerary means -

1.         1 day travelling (from approx 10am on Thursday, 5th Sept '13) by train from either Geneva Int'l Airport or Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport to Grenoble where Committed Climb Participants rent a 7 seater car and affix a 3 bicycle clip-on-boot bicycle rack and drive 51km SE to 1st Base Camp at Le Bourg d'Oisan and stay in chalets (cabins) at Colporteur Campsite 5 min walk from the Village of Bourg d’Oisans where 4 Muggs stayed in Sept 2012;

2.         8 days climbing (from Fri, 6th Sept to Fri 13 Sept '13 inclusive) the famous Cols and Montagnes described in Cycling Guide to Bourg-d’Oisans which include Alpe d'Huez, Villard-Notre-Dame, La Grave to Col du Lautaret then Col du Galibier, Mont-de-Lans then Les Duex Alpes then Col de Sarenne, Villard Reymond, Mont Oulles, La Bérarde;

3.         Sat. morning, 14th Sept, drive 67km NE, via Allemond, to 2nd Base Camp at Saint Jean de Maurienne where we stay for another 8 nights at ideally located Camping Municipal des Grands Cols Camp Ground;

4.         8 further days climbing (from Sat, 14th Sept to Sat 21 Sept '13 inclusive) the famous Cols and Montagnes described in Cyclo Maurienne not limited to Col du Grand Cucheron - Col de la Madeleine - Col du Glandon - Col de la Croix de Fer - Col du Mollard - Col du Télégraphe - Col du Galibier - Col du Mont-Cenis - Col de l'Iseran

5.       1 day travelling (Sunday, 22nd Sept '13) -

            (a)        7:30am drive `123km (67km from Saint Jean de Maurienne, via Allemond, to Le Bourg d'Oisan and a further 51km) back to Grenoble to arrive by 10:00am;

            (b)        return hire car by 10:30am; and

            (c)        catch a train to either Geneva Int'l Airport or Lyon Saint Exupéry Airport and catch a flight back to Oz that night.
