Outdoor
Education Group ("OEG"):
(i) Is a not-for-profit.
(ii) One of the largest providers of journey-based outdoor education in Australia.
(iii) Has delivered over 2 million student days in the outdoors, with around 140 permanent staff in NSW and Victoria since 1986.
(iv) Currently runs school programs across Australia from one-day to four-week expeditions, including dedicated Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey programs - majority of these are journey based and operate in public land (National Parks and State Forest) - typically involve activities such as bushwalking, canoeing, cycling, sea kayaking and rock climbing.
(v) Runs centre based school camps.
(vi) Owns three camps: two in NSW; Biloela Bush Camp and Camp Wombaroo; and one in Victoria: the Eildon Centre.
(vii) Leases Camp Jungai in Victoria's Rubicon Valley specializing in indigenous education - offering a huge range of program options for school camps, community groups, sporting groups and religious groups in NSW and Vic.
(viii) Supports dedicated risk management in-house training and curriculum development teams provide training in Cert IV and Diploma courses as well as Traineeships.
(ix) Works in partnership with training providers such as Murrindindi Training Institute in Victoria and Western Institute TAFE in NSW to deliver industry leading vocational courses.
