Subject: Further information
sought re an AMB timing system that will measure and web publish bicycle climb
times on an individual time trial format with 30 second Start intervals
Attention: Luka Wu
My name is Phil Johnston of
This e-mail seeks further information of
your sports timing equipment referred to in your above attachments which Jeff
Barrett V/P Cycling NSW kindly provided to me.
I maintain two cycle websites:
* www.Muggaccinos.com for road cyclists who like +100km hilly rides; and
* www.KOMpm.com for cyclists to log their Climb Times up 57 different King of the
Mountain Climbs across Greater Sydney and Illawarra.
KOMpm took me a long while to gather
requisite logistical data for the 57 Climbs and build a website which provides
a plethora of performance reports.
I am about to approach a global
pharmaceutical company, with a closer interest than most in middle aged male
health, to sponsor an Annual King of the Mountain Challenge Series for adults
between 18 and 70, male and female:
2007 Launch
the annual KOM Challenge Series in
2008 Conducting
KOM Challenge Series in Sydney (Aug/Sept), Melb (Oct/Nov) and
2009
Each Series involves about 5 consecutive
Sunday’s of age division semi-final time trials up steep hills, followed
by a Sat/Sunday Finals to determine the King of the Mountain for 19 different
age divisions.
My Information Memorandum to induce a very
large global pharmaceutical company to be Sole Sponsor also entails propagating
the above Annual King of the Mountain Challenge Series to 50 major cities
throughout
I require timing equipment that will
–
(a)
register
the Climb Time up 3 KOM Climbs between 3km and 9km in length for 80 different
Climbers per day,
(b)
record
those times in tables; and
(c)
publish those tables to a
website in Climber Reports.
Logically, I require say 85 Transponders
and holders. I am unsure whether
your Base System is more than I require, as I don’t believe I need GPS.
I use a Magellan GPS to create the
attached ride maps, so I understand GPS.
I note that your offices are at
I work in
Luka, I will phone you on 9546.2606 in a
few days to ascertain what hardware and software AMBit can sell me to record
Climb Times for up to 85 Climbers climbing 3 Climbs per day.
Cheers
