Two Legendary Endurance Cycling Challenges means each of the 50 Volunteers in the Research Programme agreeing to train with other Volunteers at weekends in one of 5 Selected District Recreational Road Cycling Groups during the 9 months Research Programme to complete one of each of the distance options for each of the below Two Legendary Endurance Cycling Challenges - aspiring endurance road cyclists yearn to include these fêted, albeit somewhat torturous, hill climbing challenges in their Curricula Vitae. The Writer and most of the Dozen Resolute Diehards have completed both of the below tougher legs, one of them Eric aka Papa Bear, aged 66, has completed the 200km Audax 12 years on the trot and Fitz's almost as many:

1st Legendary Endurance Cycling Challenge

*        165km  Fitz's Classic; or

*        105km Tharwa Challenge.

On Sunday 27 October 2008 (organised by Pedal Power ACT) which starts and finishes at the new Stromlo Forest Park facility (entrance off Uriarra Road near the Coppins Crossing Road junction) in Stromlo, ACT.

2nd Legendary Endurance Cycling Challenge

*        200km Audax Alpine Classic climbing Tawonga gap (both sides), Falls Creek & Mt Buffalo; or

*        140km Audax Alpine Classic climbing Tawonga gap (one side) & Mt Buffalo.

On Sunday 26 January 2009 from Bright Vic (organised by Audax Australia).

Each Volunteer would agree to commit to train for and attempt the above Two Legendary Endurance Cycling Challenges by ticking a box in the 1st of Four Hypothesis Test Reports.
