Research Programme means a supervised trial over 9 months pursuant to the Research Programme Brief and within the Research Programme Budget to test the Hypothesis involving -

*           25 Volunteers who work in a Specific Industry Group such as NSW Nursing and midwives, and

*           25 Volunteers drawn from amongst the Disadvantaged by seeking the assistance of renowned humanitarians [referred to in Section 16.(c)] to garner 25 Volunteers from amongst the Disadvantaged.

 

Each Volunteer is provided with a $1,000 road bicycle which each Volunteer retains upon completing the following:

(i)          Join one of 5 Selected District Recreational Road Cycling Groups for a minimum of the 9 months Research Programme (within the 12 months Pilot) commencing 1 May 2008 and finishing 31 Jan 2009.

(ii)         Be tutored how to cycle 100km ave rides by Organisers in the Selected District Recreational Road Cycling Group under the Administration of a Recreational Exercise Consultant.

(iii)        Cycle 100km ave rides most Sundays with their Selected District Recreational Road Cycling Group which involves a Common Bond Support Group and a Social Theme.

(iv)        Complete Two Legendary Endurance Cycling Challenges
*       
 1st after 6 months in Canberra;
*         2nd just 5 days prior to the end of the 9 months from Bright Vic.

(v)         Attend an initial Health Assessment Appointment with one of the Research Programme Team.

(vi)        Submit Four Hypothesis Test Reports.

The Research Programme Team and the Head Consultant will measure, using data from the Initial Lifestyle Behaviour Evaluation Of Each Volunteer and the Four Hypothesis Test Reports submitted by each Volunteer (using Purpose Built Quant Modelling Software and a Base Case Financial Model) the  Hypothesis' scope to materially reduce the Seven Problems and quantify the Economic Return on Capex of Propagating YELP to 10,000 additional Interested Adults across Australia by end-2010.

Marathon Challenge was an RTV documentary telecast by Public Broadcasting Station ("PBS") to 355 public non-commercial television stations to 73 million Americans and to more than 100 other countries.

On 30 Oct 2007 PBS ran a 53 min "Marathon Challenge" programme profiling 13 volunteer adults -

(a)        who had never been distance joggers, in fact some couldn't jog;

(b)        range in age from 22 to 60

(c)        live in Massachusetts;

(d)        had 9 months to train to run the Boston Marathon;

(e)        came with some normal lifestyle baggage - ailments from AIDS, Type 1 Diabetes, Depression, divorce, Obesity and post-fatality trauma.

Marathon Challenge proves, in 'inter alia' 'Power of positive thinking' and Section 16.(j)(ii) that the Hypothesis reduces the Seven Problems, in particular the Hypothesis can Empower Adults To Better Control Their Stress Responses.
