i)(a) rollout Turramurra 6:55am cycling all the way to Windsor via M2, then following Western train line, thence afore-mentioned anti-clockwise loop, thence Iron Horse to Seven Hills, M2 to Turra' - 130km - ETR 1:30pm; or

i)(b) rollout Turramurra between 7:35am and 7:45am via M2 to Seven Hills station, Iron Horse to Windsor
afore-mentioned anti-clockwise loop, thence Iron Horse to Seven Hills, M2 to Turra' - 83.1km - ETR 1:30pm; or

ii)(a) Porter's Lookout, Dural by 7:45am to meet ToothFairy and Pacific Pete who are cycling to Windsor, thence clockwise loop north, thence Iron Horse from Windsor to Riverstone, cycle back to Dural along Annangrove Rd - 106 - ETR 1:13pm

ii)(b) Porter's Lookout, Dural by 7:55am via Annangrove Rd to Riverstone station, Iron Horse to Windsor, clockwise loop north, thence Iron Horse from Windsor to Riverstone, cycle back to Dural along Annangrove Rd - 84.2 km - ETR 1:13pm

Ø Take extreme care at both of the two 'on' and 'off' ramps on M2 - cars often travel faster than they seem to be

Ø Expend 5 min studying your street directory for the 39km clockwise loop from Windsor, Cornwallis, Lowlands, Richmond, Freeman's Reach returning to Windsor

Ø Ride two abreast on single lane roads at own peril and get off the road at Sag Stops

Ø Cycling without Public Liability cover is as silly as driving without 3rd Party -
join Bicycle NSW or Bike Vic for PL insurance, or upgrade your household policy to include PL beyond your front fence, so that all Muggs are better protected

Ø When passing a fellow Mugg, always provide a metre clearance. If you can't, or are
passing on the inside, you MUST call out loudly eg. "passing inside tight" etc

i)(b) above detailed below:
Rollout 7:35am and 7:45am from Turramurra station carpark. After 22km (3.7km on Kissing Point Rd, 1.45km thru Browns Water Hole, 17km on M2/Abbott Rd/Prospect Highway) you arrive Seven Hills station to aboard 8:50am train to Windsor arriving 9:19am.
Thence Windsor, Freeman's Reach, Nth Richmond, Lowlands, Cornwallis - 39km anti-clockwise flat loop.
Catch 11:55am Windsor train to Seven Hills station. Cycle 24km cycle back to Turra' station - ETR 1:30pm.

ii)(b) above detailed below:
Or commence from Dural by 7:55am and pedal 23.7km via Annangrove Rd to Riverstone station, catch 9:08am train for the 11min ride to Windsor station - meeting the Turra' brigade on same train.
Thence 39km clockwise flat loop.
Catch 11:55am Windsor 11 train min ride to Riverstone arriving 12:06pm.
Pedal 23.7km to Dural via Annangrove Rd - ETR 1:13pm.

i)(b) above detailed below:
i) From Turramurra station car park via M2 to Seven Hills station, thence train to Windsor station – 22km:
Rollout Turramurra station between 7:35 and 7:45am up Rohini St to Pac H'way, R at lights and 40m later L for steep descent of Kissing Point Rd. shortly crossing Comenarra Parkway at lights and proceed to descend cycle path, Browns Waterhole, followed by a short steep climb to M2. Pedal through a narrow 20m tunnel and Sag Stop (3 min) before joining M2 on south side.
Take extreme care passing 2 on and 2 off roads during 14.2km on M2 to where Old Windsor Rd meets Abbott Rd and continue 1.4km W along Abbott Road. Continue 700m W along Prospect Highway to Seven Hills station on LHS, entering via Terminus Rd to Seven Hills station to catch the 7:50am train in a frontish carriage [joined by cyclists which commence from Dural at Riverstone station]. Arrive Windsor at 9:19am.

L into Derriwong Rd for 500m,
R into Wirrabara Rd for 600m,
R into Pellit Lane which soon veers L for 180m,
R into Kenthurst Rd for 1km,
L into Annangrove Rd for 10.5km,
R into Windsor Rd for 2km,
L into Garfield Rd East for 2.9km to Riverstone station,

where, after purchasing a snack at the Riverstone Milk Bar meet the Turra' brigade in a frontish carriage on the
9:08am train Sag Stop (11 min on train) which arrives Windsor at 9:19am.

2nd Leg: Windsor, Freeman's Reach, Richmond, Lowlands, Cornwallis, Windsor station - 39km

(i) 11 min ride to Riverstone station, alighting 11:57am (or 12:27pm); or

(ii) 32 min ride to Seven Hills station, alighting at 12:08pm (or 12:38pm).

Scribe’s rap-up of last Sunday Loop the Lake Macquarie - 9 Muggs - 80km

Publican, Annie, Expat, Smurf, Scribe, Maria ' Ross stayed at the Wangi Hotel. ToothFairy and Pacific Pete drove up early Sunday morn'. The weather was again glorious. Over 2,000 cyclists participated seemingly mostly from the Central Coast and Newcastle.
