www.Muggaccinos.com The Bullsheet Sat 19 Nov to Mon 21 Nov, Muggs’ annual longer weekend pilgrimage to Canberra Ø 158kms Fitz's Challenge; or For the 11th year 'on the trot' a contingent of Muggs is making the annual pilgrimage to Canberra for this wonderful ride with four distances to choose from (48km, 96km, 158km and 210km) over very challenging and scenic terrain in the foothills of the Brindabella mountain range to the South West of Canberra. Ex Muggs, Suicide Blonde and Smurf who now live in Canberra are also attending. Canberra's premier randonnee 'Fitz's Challenge' will again be presented by Pedal Power ACT on Sunday, 20 November, ably assisted by Audax ACT Region members. Fitz's covers the same roads used for the prestigious annual 'Canberra Tour' race. The 210km option has approx 3,850m of climbing, virtually the same as the Audax Alpine Classic 200km course but over a very different terrain profile that is characterised by a series of climbs that are steeper but shorter than those on the Alpine course. The 158km option has about 2,600m of climbing. While this is not an official Audax ride, it is run along the lines of the Alpine Classic. Riders carry a brevet card that has to be verified at the checkpoints, and aim at a target time to complete their chosen distance.
