Ø
RTA paints a solid centre-line
on single lane roads when there isn't sufficient vision to overtake.
'Ipso facto' always cycle single-file on
solid centre-line road sections.
Ø Get off the road at Sag Stops Ø Cycling without Public Liability cover is as asinine as driving without 3rd Party - join Bicycle NSW for PL insurance, so that all Muggs are better protected Ø When passing a fellow Mugg, always provide a metre clearance. Scribe's rap-up of last w'ends Tour de Macarthur - 23 participants - two days cycling
By 8:30pm 18 or so were seated in a squashy long table in the dining Room at the George IV - Ann Marie 'n Adam, Samurai 'n Amanda, Arno aka Heineken 'n Sarah, Kathryn, Yamaha 'n up-the-duff Linda, Whippet, KoalaBear, Brenda aka Widget, Sandra aka Lulu, Noel, Scribe, Trevor aka Tornado, Kaza, Publican, After a night of 'some imbibing', the weather wasn't flash last Saturday morn' with the ground wet from a morn' drizzle. ToothFairy Matt aka Printer, Sean aka Smurf, Andrew aka TugBoat and Richard A. drove down early Sat morn'. It was positively cold as we huddled in a cafe at Mittagong after 44km of steady climbing into a headwind.
Sunday was more of the same, meaning some crew surfaced again looking decidedly dusty after much merriment. Tornado led us on a 42km anti-clockwise loop north which seemed to be lots more uphill than down dale, although a strong headwind during the climb to The Oakes probably accounted for the illusion that we got robbed on the downhill.
