Scribe's rap-up of Sunday, 18 Jan, St Ives to Warriewood - 96km
18 crew marshalled at West Head after 41km via the Fruit Barn 'n Duffy's Forest. Scribe snapped some pics, incl some good butts, but cocked-up downloading the JPGs from his digital. Alas the failsafe Recycle Bin didn't work, not ending-up being snavelled in his Recycle Bin. So no pics.
Ang' jagged a snag on the way back from the HeadLand. Actually it was a small bit of sharp, shiny metal which caused a slow leak. T'was a pitiable sight evidencing a woman contemplating changing a flat. Fortunately Malvern Star 'n Bank Teller happened upon the scene and saw to it.
Ros came a cropper when her new fangled cleats didn't cleat the way they should and wam bam thank you mam, Rocket took a tumble. Fortunately, Ros was OK. But her new ladies treadley got chipped here and there. Hence, Rocket wasn't a happy camper at Warriewood.
Everyone pissed-off in all directions from the Warriewood trendy set, where there are more cafes and young babes with bare mid-rifts serving Lattes, than you can poke a stick at. Most of the group retraced via McCarrs Creek to take in some dulcet tones at a sun drenched Akuna Bay. But the weather chilled-out. So don't know how it went.
Around 12:20pm, Whippet, Publican, Malvern Star, Adam 'n Eve, Tyro Chris, ToothFairy 'n Scribe returned to St Ives, most heading for a recharge at Pattisons'. Scribe 18 Jan '04 |
