Teller's rap-up of Sunday, 4 Aug, 72km Quatre Montagnes from Wahroonga - 12 crew BackPacker is absent from the above pic, 'cause he hadn't read the ride spec in the Bullsheet and had proceeded on to the ferry, whereupon the ferry master waived him onboard. Eventually after a sortie to the other side of Berowra Waters, Bruce re-joined us. That sunny niché at Berowra Waters, where the drugs 'n grub 're good value, sure was a welcome sanctuary. It'd been a hard fought 34km 1st Leg from Wahroonga Park on a morn' which had more than a gentle zephyr running into our faces; 'twas a nip in that southerly which hadn't abated much since it sprung at 'fall on the Sat evening.
L to R at PitS around midday after our 2nd Leg which included a familiar 3.9km ascension from Brooklyn Rd - Pacific, Navigator, Teller, Rocket, Yamaha, Whippet and BigGears. Cause the weather seemed to be on-the-turn, we opted to skip the final hill out of BH, and High Tail it back to Wahroonga Park, where Widget greeted us at 1pm. The Scribe - 5 August 2002 |
