Bank Teller's rap-up of "A hard, hilly hundred" Sunday, 16 Dec Counting the cameraman, a dozen crew gathered on another o’cast, coolish morn’ at GreenShades Nursery Galston a tad after 8 o’clock – Caroline, ToothFairy, Widget, David aka Dynamo, The Publican, BackPacker, Bazza, The Scribe, Pacific, Whippet ‘n BigGears.
Alas, Squaw Chores beckoned a quarter of the contingent. Consequently, after a pleasant 40 min repaste amongst the lush greenery, where no one indulged in GreenShades’ famous omelettes, only nine crew continued N along Arcadia Rd twds Brooklyn, where after the familiar 3.9km climb from Brooklyn Rd, we re-gathered at PitS around 10:30am. Scribe was delayed at GreenShades assisting Bazza change a flat, you guessed it, on his rear tyre. Hence, as Scribe was descending to Brooklyn Rd, the rest of the gang were completing the 3.9km climb to the Pie Shop. Dynamo was not unsurprisingly out in front, with Whippet ‘n BigGears not far a field. All familiar stuff, seeing everyone, in particular two old heads, Papa Bear and Widget, slogging their hardest up the well-known gradient. Still ‘twas “funny peculiar” pondering why hammering your hardest up an accustomed hill is so important. With several of the crew continuing on to Hornsby, around 12:30pm the gang gathered at the turn-off to Bobbin Head – see pic of not a lot happen’.At 1:30pm the Turra' starters returned to their jalopies with ave speeds for the 100km Cinque Montagnes from 23pm for BigGears, 22.4km for Ann and 22km for The Teller. Sunday, 30 Dec, Tour de Bikie Hangout - Mt White return:
