Special Purpose Vehicle or SPV means a body corporate (usually a limited company of some type, or sometimes a limited partnership known as a Joint Venture) created to fulfill narrow or specific objectives, primarily to -

*           isolate financial risk; and/or

*           expedite delivery of a project (often an infrastructure project) by achieving a narrower focus on its purpose.
