Ø Start Moss Vale Caravan Park/Willow Drive and ride though Moss Vale Town Centre towards Bowral for about 2.5 km. Ø At roundabout, left onto Suttor Rd. Join bike track when you see it alongside on the left. Stay on the track, cross the bridge over Wingecarribee River then stay on the track to cross Bong Bong Common as far as Burradoo Station. About 8km. The track does not seem to be shown on Google maps, but is easy to follow. It is shown as part of the following Bicycle NSW map: Ø 200 m after Burradoo Station turn left into Yean St then left into Nerang St. Just before the end of the road turn rt onto the bike path to join Railway Pde. Ø At T junction, left onto Fulston St for 100m then left at roundabout* and across the railway onto Oxleys Hill Rd opposite. (This footway crossing is not shown on Google maps), (*Option to detour rt into Bowral for coffee here) Ø Follow Oxleys Hill Rd to Old Hume Hwy (6 km) Ø Left onto Old Hume Hwy to Berrima (Coffee stop possible here) then continue on Old Hume Hwy until merge with Hume Mwy (7 km). Ø Continue on shoulder of Mwy for 600m then left into Golden Vale Rd. Ø Continue on Golden Vale Rd to Sutton Forest (5.5 km) Ø Right onto Illawarra Hwy for 600 m Ø Left onto Exeter Road for 5 km Ø Sharp right opposite Exeter Station onto Middle Road for 1 km, then left into Ellesmore Rd for 500m and right onto Sallys Corner Road for 2.2 km Ø Left onto Old Argyle Rd for 4 km Ø Left onto Ferndale Rd for 3.3km Part of the route along Old Argyle and Ferndale Rds is good quality unsealed road. Ø Right onto Durham Rd, becomes Quarry Rd, cross railway to Bundanoon. (1.7 km) Recommended detour to lookout 3.5 km return: Right onto Penrose Rd for about 600m then left into Coalmines Rd, continue to Lookout at end of Coalmines Rd. Then return to start of detour. Ø Left into Bundanoon along Penrose Rd for 1.5 km Options for coffee stop and to explore the Bundanoon Lookouts Ø In Bundanoon centre turn rt onto Anzac Pde (just before rwy crossing) then after 100m left onto Railway Avenue. Becomes Bundanoon Road. 4km. Ø Right onto Ringwood Rd at junction just before rwy crossing. Continue to Exeter Station. (About 4.5 km) Ø Becomes Werai Rd. Continue 3.7 km Ø Left onto Mount Broughton Rd for 3.5 km Ø Bear slightly left at junction with Yarrawa Rd and continue back to Moss Vale (about 2.5 km). |
