Climbing 30km from Harrietville to Mt Hotham "The Giant"

The MEG is 5km into the assault - around the corner brace yourself for a tough 400m at 9.5%.  See pic further below when approaching the MEG from the descent to soak-in the steep gradient.

Renes Lookout - elevation 1,580m - on Great Alpine Road about 75% the way up following a 1.1km Killer climb up CRB Hill - 10%.  Shortly after is Diamantina rise (9.7% for 850m).  Between these tough climbs are two short descents.
