Phil,

I have taken on a few tough challenges in my time, incl back in 2008 hiking the Kokoda Trail and hiking 5 mountain passes in the Himalaya up to 5,900m (19,357') overlooking Mt Everest and Lhotse and staying at the main Everest base camps which involved camping on some very cold nights followed by Mt Fuji in 2009.

This will be different.  I watched a few days of the 2006 Le Tour at Bordeaux, Tourmalet and on the Champs Elysees.   Cycling in France in early Sept should be pleasant, although I understand that it can get très froid at Le Sommets, especially the desolate Mont Ventoux.

The level of detail in each of the daily ride/climb routes is outstanding and comforting and no doubt took a considerable time.

Please count me in for each day's climbing at the 2nd and 3rd base camps.

Looking fwd to it, now just need to get lots of kms in the legs and some more appropriate gearing.

NB:    As I am working mega hours to pay the bills and meet a mortgage, excuse me for not undertaking the level of due diligence on the daily climbs schedule, as I have enough irons in enough fires presently.  But that doesn't excuse you retirees, where every day is a holiday.

Cheers

Dave
