On 21 Dec 2017 at 4:41 pm, IS sympathiser, Saeed Noori, 30, driving his mother's SUV, rammed 16 pedestrians at a busy Melbourne intersection (Cnr. Flinders Street and Elizabeth Street) four days before Christmas.  He killed one man and injured 16 others.

On 28 March 2019,  Noori was sentenced to 30 years' in jail before he’s eligible for parole.
