Melbourne father, Osman Shaptafaj, has been jailed for life for
killing newly-wedded daughter and son-in-law.
Shaptafaj shot dead his newly married daughter and son-in-law at
their home has been sentenced to life behind bars. Osman
Shaptafaj, 57, was handed a non-parole period of 35 years when
he was sentenced in Melbourne's Supreme Court on 22 feb 2022 for
murdering his daughter, Lindita Musai, and her husband, Veton
Musai.Shaptafaj shot dead the newlyweds on the morning of
December 31, 2019 as they approached the Yarraville home where
they had been living in.
The court previously heard Shaptafaj felt "disrespected"
because he had not been invited to the couple's wedding
or asked for his "permission" regarding their marriage.
Lindita was 25 and Veton was 29.
