Day 5 - Travelling to Moscow on an overnight 'sleeper' train
Outside St Petersburg train station with travelling clobber
Waiting in a cafe for Sergey's wife, Anya, and nine year old son, Timothy to arrive
Timothy enjoyed his strawberry milkshake
Many Russians have a sweet tooth
The escalators that enable access to the St. Petersburg (nee Leningrad) underground subway train network must be the longest in the world, seemingly because the rock under St. Petersburg is relatively unstable. Hence need to tunnel deep down. You can be riding an escalator for over 4 mins, and they ain't slow. |
