It is with mixed feelings that I respond because someone with your obvious cycling talent had had no excuse to have his fat arse off the bike for so long. About 5 years ago I met up with you once after returning to Oz from an offshore sojourn. You looked in great fettle, a veritable lean mean fighting machine. Two years before that I had sat with you on a Sunday morn at the top of the Berrilee KOM Climb and extolled the merits of travelling offshore and chasing foreign beaver. All I can deduce from your lengthy absence is that you have let the little head do the thinking for the bighead ever since to the detriment of your cycling prowess. It is time to repent and join Muggs Sunday rides which ave +100km and 12 starters, although since Muggaccinos affiliated with Bike NSW, our numbers have been steadily increasing, where I expect the ave ride to contain 18 by Christmas. See above attached e-mail for this Sunday’s ride and update on our 3rd annual KOM Challenge. For your sins you have to attend 3rd annual King of the Mountain Challenge and climb all 11 KOM Climbs around Kangaroo Valley, and go to bed pissed as a neut each night We have 10 now confirmed for this Sunday’s ride from Mt Annan near Campbelltown. If you need a lift out there let me know. It is a beaut ride but a tad flatter than usual. Your old cycling buddy, Richard Coleman 07 5533.3006 (07)5539.4809, now lives in Brisbane and keeps in touch with Ian. He may come to Sydney this Christmas where we could climb some hills. The Cervelo carbon is a beaut bike. A few of our crew ride Cervelo |
