Sacramento California  -  9th Dec to 17th Dec ' 17

I got to know Rick and Margaret's two livewire grand-daughters, Rowan and Sienna, on my last visit in 2016.

Sienna, now an 'old' six year old, prepared me the below lovely 'welcoming note', but she spelt my name 'Fill' and had to correct it.  I thought that it must have taken Sienna a few hours to 'craft' it, but Sienna said that it took only a few minutes.

Below is a picture that Grandpa. Rick, posted to BankTeller of two pigeons who seem to have something in common, perhaps it is mere keeping any eye out for each other.  Or perhaps mum and offspring. Don't think that young Sienna and an Aussie OldFolk are soul mates,

Six year old, Sienna, playing indoor Soccer on Sat. morning and proudly holding her Soccer ball after her 40 mins Soccer game.
Older sister, Rowan, aged 9, on the LHS (below) in a blue jacket, doesn't play Soccer, but practices ballet for 4
½ hours a week.

I met Maureen aka Mo in 1995 when Maureen travelled to Canberra to compete in a double road marathon = 84km.  Rick's wife Margaret had asked me if I'd show Maureen a bit of Sydney.  Maureen has run the annual USA Western States Endurance 100 Miles Run three times, and is still a powerful long distance runner.  No back or knee probs for 'Mo'.  Her hubby, Brian who also joined, Risk & Margaret, for 'din dins' at an Italian restaurant, is also an accomplished distance runner.

Below three pics are from Rick inviting his swim mates, Chuck & Pat, and their wives over for dinner on Friday night.

Above 'n below pics at Margaret's annual family Christmas Party about 100 miles South of Sacramento where Rick was our designated 'stay-dry' driver.

The chap sitting down (wearing the very light brown jumper) is a retired Irish Catholic priest.

Below six pics are of Rick & Margaret's home in Penryn, Sacramento where I 'bunked' for a week
