2nd Nov '08 - M.S. Sydney to the Gong Ride 7:30am rollout from Sydney Park in Sydney Park Rd St Peters via Brighton Le Sands, Royal National Park, Sea Cliff Bridge to Wollongong.  Gong Ride is 90km - option to add 50km by catching train from Wollongong station back to Waterfall station and cycling thru RNP to Sutherland  

If you intend riding this year's Gong ride, can you let Scribe know, and he will list you herein.  Last year Rex aka Pimpernel, Guy aka Lawyer, Grant aka BeanCounter, Greg aka ArchitectToo, and Matt aka Printer rode to Wollongong from 6:30am ish.

 

Lengthen the ride by 45km by catching train from Wollongong at 11:22am or 12:16pm to:

Waterfall station arriving 12:15pm or 1:15pm

and dropping down McKell Ave to Sir Bertram Stevens Drive and cycling Nth back up thru Royal National Park thru Audley Weir to Sutherland station for 2nd train ride home.

St Peters, 3km due South of Newtown, is on the Bankstown rail line.  Train departs Central 7:05am arriving St Peters 7:13am.  Or catch train from Nth Shore station (Hornsby 6am, Gordon 6:14am, Chatswood 6:23am) arriving Central Railway 6:51am and cycle SWW along Parramatta Rd for 300m and hook a left into City Rd/King St SSW for 3˝km arriving 7:15am.  Left into Sydney Park Rd and voila! Sydney Park START
