  • Most cyclists will commence from Hornsby - 108km, including Bank Teller who will ride Pilot with Sean M. aka Smurf on Sean's new KHS tandem.  Sean is also bringing his tandem on Tour de Macarthur the following w'end.

  • Hardcopy these directions, take a squiz of the route NW and bring on Sunday as this is a complex route

  • Keep well to LHS and DO NOT cycle two abreast on single lane roads with an unbroken centre line

  • Cycling without Public Liability cover is as stupid as driving without 3rd Party - join Bicycle NSW for PL insurance cover, so that all Muggs are better protected; or check your household policy which might provide $m PL cover beyond your front fence

  • When passing a fellow Mugg, always provide a metre clearance.  If you can't, or are passing on the inside, call out loudly eg. "passing inside tight" etc

ToothFairy's fleeting rap-up of St Ives to Palm Beach ferry to Central Coast ride - 9 starters

On a glorious Winter's day 9 aboarded the 10:30am ferry from Palm Beach after a 37km ride from St Ives.  Greg, Ann, Peter T, Adam and Ann-Marie alighted at Wagstaffe for a glorious cycle up the Scenic Route before conquering the precipitous 900m up Paroo Hill before arriving at Lisarow where we caught the train. 

Arno, Paul, Mark and Richard got off at Ettalong Wharf and cycled back via Kariong, Mooney Mooney bridge, Calga, Mt White.
