Sunday 23 May 7:30am “Northern Beaches and Back Roads to Manly - 75km

Ride Leader:  Malcolm Hart

Don't ride two abreast on single lane roads

Muster at base of stairs to Turra’ station (not the carpark) from 7:20am, as Muggs join a Bike North ride led by Malcolm Hart  9713.1994 (h), “Northern Beaches and Back Roads” which rolls out at 7:30am from the station stairs via Terrey Hills, Church Point to Mona Vale, then follow the coast to Manly for stunning views and coffee.  Malcolm's route involves a Manly Ferry to the Quay then ride to Turramurra via cycleways, Lane Cove NP, M2 and Brown's Waterhole.  Although Malcolm's ride description on the Bike North website acknowledges there are several options to get back to Turra' Tornado proposes we ride back from Manly.

Bank Teller's pics from Sunday 16 May Quatre Montagnes incl the missing Toadstool - 80km - 14 cyclists

Whippet, Publican, Samurai, Rummager, Heineken/Physio, Bank Teller, Nerida, Tornado, Princess Caroline, Rocket, Engineer ' Kirsty participated on a beaut late autumn morn' which got really cold on the decent to Bobbin Head Bridge, but had warmed by the time the below snap was taken at Kalkari Reserve after 13.2km where Heineken/Physio joined us.

Taking pics into a bright backgnd at glistening Berowra Waters isn't easy when you have a piss-fart flash

The below pic was from Nth Turra Shopping Village where Samurai fleetingly bumped into an associate.  Shame she shot off shortly after the above pic.

The cafe is reasonable value with a wide variety of scrumptious healthy food.  It also offers Winter sun and a post-ride Nosh Stop.

We are going to commence future Turra' rides from the Nth Turra Shopping Village so long as crew don't park their cars in selfish parking spots immediately outside any shops, but rather in the side street or well away from where local patrons want convenient parking.  Otherwise a disgruntled shopkeeper might run the pointy part of a letter-opener down the side of an offending car.  The new Nth Turra start spot will also mean we miss a higher traffic finish.
