Bank Teller's rap-up of Sunday, 12 Oct, Tour de Whale Beach

Muggs are a so-piss-ticated lot, 'cause after a night of roistering and revelry at Kaza's 40th b'day party the previous night, there were a lot of "no-shows" this morn' with only 8 starters.

Our 3rd Sag Stop at The Serpentine, where the surf was gynormous.

Our 2nd Nosh Stop was at Akuna Bay where Bank Teller proposed that he station himself at Illawong Bay park to take some action pics.  Scribe exalted the crew to ride by in single file, "I'll be out on the road, 'cause the pic will blur if it is a side-on shot.  Just ride past my left shoulder super-quick and make it look as though you are going really fast."
A few mins later Tornado, ever keen to see a good pic (of Trev) came flying by at about 50km/h and all but took Scribe's left shoulder with him, as he screamed past Bank Teller barely a millimetre to spare.  Fortunately, Scribe had stopped spinning like a turnstile in time to snap Heineken who wasn't far behind.

Top Left clockwise - Tornado, Heineken, Ian 'n Colnago.

We clocked ourselves over the 5.6km KOM climb from the TollBooth at Illawong Bay past Cottage Point Rd, to the TollBooth approaching McCarrs Creek Rd.  These times are in the KOM spreadsheet for "Illawong Bay TollBooth to top TollBooth."  Tornado averaged 21.6km, Suzy aka Colnago came in 2nd averaging 20.24km/h, Heineken was 2 seconds later ave 20.20km/h, with Scribe an eternity later averaging 14.02 and Ian 12.95km/h.  The Flash, whom we met at Akuna Bay (pictured above) 'phoned in post ride a 19m 28s time over the 5.6km leg.
